The branch of electric stations in the Batken region plans to install 54,587 "smart" meters (automated commercial accounting systems) in 2026.
According to reports, the installation of new meters will be handled by the Batken Electric Networks Enterprise. The installation volumes will be distributed across the districts of the region as follows:
• Kyzyl-Kyiyin Electric Networks — 10,150 units
• Kadamjay Electric Networks — 14,530 units
• Leilek Electric Networks — 14,105 units
• Suluktu Electric Networks — 15,193 units
Currently, the Batken Electric Networks Enterprise has 130,668 registered subscribers, of which:
• 121,149 are residential subscribers,
• 9,519 are non-residential subscribers.
It is worth noting that in 2024-2025, 62,085 smart meters were already installed in the region. The Batken district, the city of Batken, and the city of Kyzyl-Kiya are fully equipped with smart metering devices.
The project is being implemented by OJSC "NESC" with the support of the World Bank and aims to modernize the country's energy sector, improve the digital management system, and ensure the efficient use of electrical energy.
