Expansion of the 'Tamga' substation and installation of solar panels is planned at Issyk-Kul

The Minister of Energy of Kyrgyzstan, Talaybek Ibraev, visited the Issyk-Kul region for a working purpose to assess the current state and operation of the region's energy facilities. During his visit, he familiarized himself with the 220/110/24 kV "Tamga" substation, where he studied the operation of high-voltage power lines, automation systems, and relay protection, as well as interacted with the substation staff, listening to their suggestions and problems.

As a result of the meeting, the minister promised to provide the necessary support in addressing the raised issues and gave several specific instructions. In particular, he instructed to ensure that the high-voltage line and relay protection teams are provided with official vehicles.
Additionally, the need for the reconstruction of the administrative building where the staff works was discussed. The minister also drew attention to the project for the construction of a 220 kV high-voltage line from Tamga to Karakol and reviewed related proposals. As part of this project, the expansion of the "Tamga" substation, the acquisition of specialized equipment for workers, and the installation of solar panels on the roof of the administrative building are planned.
