During a meeting of the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh dedicated to finance, budget, and entrepreneurship, Deputy Jumabek Salymbekov raised the issue of the timeline for lifting restrictions on electricity consumption within 3-5 kWh. He noted that he is being approached by representatives of small businesses operating from home who are facing difficulties due to the current measures. In his opinion, such restrictions negatively affect businesses both in Bishkek and in other regions of the country.
In response, Deputy Minister of Energy Nasipbek Kerimov explained that the decision to lift the restrictions will be made only after the end of the autumn-winter period, based on an analysis of the regime and volumes of electricity consumption.
“Currently, nighttime temperatures remain negative. We will be able to consider the issue of lifting restrictions based on the results of March and April, but I cannot specify exact dates yet,” added Kerimov.
