In accordance with the directive of President Sadyr Japarov and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Saudi Arabia successfully conducted negotiations with the airline.

As Ambassador Ulukbek Maripov reported, direct flights on the route Jeddah - Osh will resume from March 4. The flights will be operated three times a week: on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

“First and foremost, passengers who already have tickets will be served. According to information from the airline, the aircraft with a capacity of 160 seats will not be fully loaded. Due to the closure of Iranian airspace, the flight will be carried out via Turkey without intermediate stops. To avoid overloading the aircraft and to account for increased fuel costs, it is planned to take about 100 passengers,” the ambassador noted.

Ulukbek Maripov also added that discussions are ongoing regarding the possibility of repatriating citizens in need.

“Representatives of the airline have indicated their intention to resume flights on the Jeddah - Bishkek route in the coming days. However, they warn of potential difficulties related to fuel shortages due to the long distance of the flight,” he explained.
