At a recent session of parliament, Deputy Ismanali Joroev of the Jogorku Kenesh raised an important issue regarding the state of the Karagachevaya grove.
He emphasized that this is not just a park, but a unique green zone created by botanist Fetisov in 1981, covering an area of 136.6 hectares. Only 40 hectares of this space have been developed, while the remaining areas are left without proper care. The grove is home to trees such as elm, linden, maple, hazel, and birch, as well as the Komsomol and Pioneer lakes.
According to the deputy, only one lake operates in the summer, many trees are in a state of drying out, and the irrigation system is not functioning, leading to a lack of sanitary maintenance.
Joroev stressed the need to create a municipal program aimed at improving the Karagachevaya grove.
He proposed to conduct an inventory of dried trees, plant new saplings, restore the irrigation system, and gradually transform the area into an ecological park. His plans include the construction of bike paths with lighting, the installation of a dock for mini-boats on the lakes, and the creation of a "mini-Venice."
