Citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic who were stranded on a cruise liner in Qatar are awaiting their flight to Bishkek. This information was provided by Kyrgyz nationals at Riyadh airport.
According to the individuals, they spent seven days on the vessel due to the situation in the Middle East.
Kyrgyz citizens expressed their gratitude to President Sadyr Japarov for his assistance in organizing their return home.
“On behalf of a group of 136 people, we want to say thank you. Our situation was treated with great care, and we were kept informed. Four buses were allocated for us to take us to Riyadh. We received accommodation in a hotel and are now at the airport,” the tourists reported.
It is worth noting that the day before, the president's press secretary, Askhat Alagozov, stated that the Kyrgyz citizens remaining on the cruise liner would return to Bishkek today.
He also added that President Sadyr Japarov has taken personal control over the organization of the return of citizens who found themselves in difficult situations due to events in Middle Eastern countries.
