A forum on preventing extremism among youth was held in Bishkek

On March 10, a forum titled "Youth Against Extremism" took place at the Seytek Center for Children and Youth in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek. Its goal is to prevent extremism among the younger generation and to foster an active civic stance among them, as reported by the city administration.

The event was attended by Deputy Mayor Victoria Mozgacheva, as well as representatives of government and law enforcement agencies, deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh, clergy, and active members of society, including school students from the capital.

In her speech, Victoria Mozgacheva emphasized that successful efforts to combat extremism require the unification of the efforts of government structures, educational institutions, and society. She highlighted the importance of upbringing and education, as well as patriotic values, in creating a safe social environment.

During the forum, there were speeches from representatives of law enforcement agencies and clergy, as well as deputies. Participants were able to view thematic videos dedicated to countering extremism, as well as enjoy a performance and creative numbers from school students.

The city administration noted that such events contribute to improving the legal literacy of youth, fostering tolerance, and strengthening interethnic harmony in society.
