Centuries-Old Buildings: The First Store Building in Karakol, Where Imperial Bonds Were Found

In Karakol, located in the Issyk-Kul region, there is a building that is about 110 years old. This was reported by a Turmush correspondent.

This building is located at 9 Orozov Street.

According to local residents, merchant Petukhov built it in 1916. The first store selling fabrics brought through the Great Silk Road was opened in this building. Currently, a pawnshop operates here.

The pawnshop employees mentioned that royal promissory notes were found in the basement of the building.
