Next week, Kyrgyzstanis will enjoy long weekends lasting three days. According to the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan, the holy holiday of Orozo Ait will be celebrated on Friday, March 20.
Additionally, on Saturday, March 21, Nowruz will be celebrated, providing an opportunity for a three-day break:
March 20 (Friday) — Orozo Ait;
March 21 (Saturday) — Nowruz;
March 22 (Sunday) — day off.
It should be noted that according to the new Labor Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, the practice of transferring weekends from Saturday and Sunday has been abolished. Holidays are now celebrated on the day they occur, and no additional day off is provided on Monday.
