In March of this year, the continental climate sharply manifested itself.

Although the month has just begun, residents have already experienced both warm and cold days.

March 11 entered the top five coldest days of this month, recording a temperature of -8.9 degrees (although it felt much colder in reality).

The absolute cold record for March 11 was set in 1979 and amounted to -12.4 °C. This value remains the lowest recorded for this date in Bishkek. Other cold days include March 11, 1968 (around -11 degrees), 1985 (-10 degrees), and 1997, when the temperature dropped to -9 degrees.

On the opposite end, March 9 became one of the warmest days, with a temperature of +20.7 degrees. The absolute record for this date was recorded on March 9, 1993, and reached +23.3 °C.

The coldest day in March in the entire history of observations was March 1, 1951, when the temperature dropped to -21.8 degrees below zero.

And on March 16, 1971, the highest value was recorded: +30.5 degrees.
