A forum dedicated to road safety was held in the Issyk-Kul region.

As reported by the Traffic Safety Department of the Interior Ministry, the main goal of the event was to develop effective measures to reduce the number of road traffic accidents. Representatives from various bodies participated in the discussion, including the local mayor's office, the presidential representative office, the Ministry of Education, the Spiritual Administration of Muslims, road services, as well as "Young Traffic Inspectors" and public organizations.

Forum participants analyzed traffic accident statistics and identified key factors contributing to accidents. As a result of the event, a resolution was adopted, which included:

- recommendations for each government agency to strengthen measures for preventing traffic accidents in their respective areas.

- plans for more active cooperation between educational institutions and law enforcement agencies.

- instructions for road services to quickly address deficiencies in infrastructure that could lead to accidents.

At the conclusion of the forum, artists from the K. Zhantoshev Theater presented a play illustrating the consequences of violating traffic rules. The event ended with a concert featuring local performers.

Turmush previously reported that the number of traffic accidents in the Issyk-Kul region has increased, partly due to seasonal factors. The highest number of accidents occurs on the route roads Bishkek-Balykchy-Karakol and Bishkek-Bokonbaev-Karakol during the summer months (July-August).

The main factors contributing to accidents remain speeding, overtaking, crossing into oncoming traffic, inattentiveness, and driver fatigue after long trips.
