At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Nurbek Abdieff announced the intention of law enforcement agencies to detain owners of fake accounts involved in spreading slander. His speech addressed the important issue of discrediting both the state and high-ranking officials.
According to Abdieff, investigations are currently underway into all cases related to dishonest actions on the internet.
“Yesterday, a woman was detained who created two accounts for the purpose of slandering government agencies. Criminal liability measures will be applied against her. We respond to every citizen's appeal, and if accounts are used for slander, appropriate legal measures will be taken,” he emphasized.
