At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Ismanali Joroev expressed the idea of the necessity of having a psychologist present when informing cancer patients of their diagnosis.
In his opinion, moral and psychological support is of paramount importance for people who have been diagnosed with cancer.
“In medical institutions dealing with oncology, conditions need to be created for psychologists to work. Unfortunately, at the moment, patients receive information about their illness directly. After such news, many may experience severe stress and fall into depression, which negatively affects their condition. Therefore, before starting therapy, work involving a psychologist must be conducted,” noted Ismanali Joroev.
