In Kara-Kul, located in the Jalal-Abad region, one of the locals who posted a video claiming that the person who died in the accident allegedly fled from traffic inspectors has expressed his apologies. This was reported by a Turmush correspondent.

The man admitted that he did not witness the chase, but only heard about it from another person.

He noted that he sent the video only to a group of friends and did not expect it to become popular: “I just recorded what I heard. It turned out that the inspectors were not chasing him. The driver of the car was under the influence of alcohol and, after colliding with a fuel truck, got into an accident. I provided incorrect information to the public and I apologize.”

According to an eyewitness, at the time of the incident, the traffic police were busy escorting schoolchildren across the road and were not pursuing any vehicles.

According to the footage from the camera, before the collision on the Bishkek - Osh highway, the car was moving at high speed, and no service vehicles were seen in pursuit.

It was previously reported that two people died in a traffic accident in Kara-Kul.

As Turmush learned, on March 13, 2026, at 07:20, a collision occurred between a DAF fuel truck and a Hyundai Sonata passenger car at the 386th kilometer of the highway. The fuel truck was heading towards Osh, while the Hyundai Sonata was going to Bishkek.

At the scene of the accident, a girl who was in the Hyundai died. The driver was hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the Kara-Kul General Practice Center, but unfortunately, his injuries were incompatible with life.
