The mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev, responded to the criticism from city residents concerning the lack of action regarding the facilities located at the corner of Chuy Avenue and Abdrakhmanov Street.
He noted that the responsibility for such facilities also lies with the developers.
“Citizens are asking the question, where was the mayor's office before? But this is also a question for the developers. After we issue the necessary permits and approve the foundations, the construction process begins. Moreover, taking into account the opinions of citizens, companies make decisions about the dismantling of such facilities,” he explained.According to the mayor, it will take about 10 days to dismantle the structure at the site of the former fountain area located near TSUM. After these works are completed, the project will be submitted for consideration by the urban planning council, where further implementation timelines will be established.
It is worth noting that today Aibek Junushaliev held an on-site meeting at the intersection of Chuy Avenue and Abdrakhmanov Street.
