In a live broadcast on Birinchi Radio, the First Deputy Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan, Tilek Mamadaliev, announced that the salaries of medical workers will double.
He noted that in the last five years, the government has been paying serious attention to the healthcare sector.
“The state is not only increasing salaries but is also actively developing the healthcare system to ensure the health of the population. The problem of a shortage of medical personnel in the regions has generally been related to finances. Currently, salaries are increasing by 100%.
This will allow attracting specialists to remote areas and also sending doctors from cities. Moreover, over the past two years, representatives of some medical professions have been receiving an additional payment of 20,000 soms. Additionally, the medical deposit, which was previously paid every three months in the amount of 33,000 soms, is now 66,000 soms,” he added.
