According to information from the regional Internal Affairs Department, over the past seven days, 44 old synthetic fishing nets, with a total length of 4,400 meters, were identified and removed during raids. All confiscated gear was destroyed in accordance with established regulations.
These actions are part of a comprehensive program aimed at:
- improving the ecological situation in the biosphere zone;
- protecting unique biological resources and endemic fish;
- combating illegal fishing (poaching).
