The Bishkek City Hall will strengthen personal responsibility for anti-corruption work

Steps are being taken in Bishkek to strengthen anti-corruption measures. The city hall emphasized the importance of strict enforcement of anti-corruption legislation by all heads of structural and subordinate organizations.

These actions have been initiated in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers adopted on January 27, 2026, and the state program for anti-corruption information policy for 2026–2027.

The department noted that the use of official position for personal interests, lobbying for the interests of individuals, violations in public procurement, illegal distribution of resources, and interference in commercial activities outside the law are unacceptable.

Particular attention will be paid to areas such as urban planning, land relations, housing and communal services, transport, trade, and municipal services.

Heads of departments will be personally responsible for organizing anti-corruption activities, monitoring their subordinates, and timely identification and elimination of corruption risks.

The city hall warned that in case of violations, the relevant materials will be forwarded to law enforcement agencies for further action.
