New projects. Thousands of residents of the Batken region will gain access to clean drinking water

During his working trip to the Batken region, Arstan Mukhtarov, head of the "Tunuk Suu" Project Implementation Group at the Department of Water Supply and Sewerage, familiarized himself with the process of constructing new water supply systems in several villages.

The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry reports that work is actively ongoing to create a drinking water supply system in the village of Muras in the Leilek district.

Currently, construction is 90% complete, and the facility will soon be fully ready for operation. This project will provide clean drinking water to more than 3,000 local residents.

In Kara-Bulak, located in the Batken district, spring water collection facilities will be built according to project documentation, and a 14-kilometer water pipeline will be laid.

Upon completion of this project, clean water will be provided to about 4,000 people, including 2 schools, 2 kindergartens, and a medical and obstetric point (FAP).

In the Kadamjai district, work is also underway to create a water supply system in the village of Soviet. This project is expected to provide clean drinking water to approximately 2,200 local residents. Arstan Mukhtarov, along with the project team, conducted an on-site inspection to monitor the quality and timelines of construction work. Contractors were instructed to comply with sanitary standards and complete the work on schedule.

Additionally, during the trip in the village of Muras, public hearings were held where local residents, activists, and representatives of self-government discussed tariffs for 1 m³ of clean drinking water.

At the meetings, participants were informed about the project's goals, its social significance, and the necessity of a tariff policy to ensure sustainable water supply operations in the future. ```
