According to Tajibaev, a plot of land measuring 2 hectares and 65 ares was transferred to the municipality by law enforcement agencies in 2025. Currently, negotiations are underway with the state mortgage company for the construction of apartment buildings on this site. "We have received preliminary approval for the construction of multi-story buildings. Although I am not aware of the specific status of the negotiations, construction work is planned to begin in the fall of this year. It is expected that the buildings will be up to 7 stories high and will have a total area of about 500 apartments. The construction will take place in the Kurmanjan-Datka area," the mayor noted.
In addition, a new project in the field of production is being implemented in Gulcho. Tajibaev reported the signing of an agreement under a public-private partnership, according to which the enterprise will receive a 70% share, while the municipality will receive 30%. As part of this project, a plant for the production of asphalt and concrete is planned to be built.
"The agreement has already been signed, and investments have been received. We provided 4 hectares of land as our share. Currently, the delivery of equipment for the plant is underway. The total cost of the project is 100 million soms. The opening of the plant is scheduled before August 31, 2026," Nursultan Tajibaev reported.
Gulcho became the 34th city of Kyrgyzstan, receiving this status on September 25, 2025. Currently, the population of the city is 23,601 people, and its total area is 35 hectares.
