

According to the Ministry of Transport, the laying of the second layer of asphalt concrete pavement has begun on the bypass road of Issyk-Kul, in the Korumdu-Balbay Baatyr area.
In addition, work continues on preparing the bases for sidewalks and bike paths, as well as the installation of drainage pipes.
This section of the road covers 17 settlements. To ensure road safety, all necessary technical requirements are being met, and temporary guides and road signs have been installed in the relevant areas.
Construction work on this project started on April 1, 2024. The project includes the expansion of the road to four lanes, the construction of sidewalks and bike paths, as well as the building of two underground crossings, 14 bridges, and 877 drainage pipes.
Since the beginning of the 2025 construction season, the lower layer of asphalt has already been laid over a distance of 79.2 km and the upper layer over 20.7 km. Work on the construction and reconstruction of 14 bridges and two underground crossings is also nearly complete.
