Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, is considering making an offer to purchase the famous football club "Barcelona" for a sum of 10 billion euros. This was reported by the program El Chiringuito, and the information was confirmed by journalist François Gallardo on his social media account X, as reported by Forbes.ru.

According to the publication Goal, the financing for this deal could be provided through the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF), which is headed by the prince. The invested funds will help pay off the club's debts, which, according to some estimates, exceed 2.5 billion euros.

However, there is a significant obstacle to the deal — the ownership structure of "Barcelona." The club belongs to its members, known as "socios," who have the right to participate in presidential elections and make key decisions.

It is worth noting that through the PIF, Mohammed bin Salman already owns the English club "Newcastle United," which was acquired in 2021.
