According to preliminary data, the bus that was involved in the accident was transporting pilgrims from the city of Hyderabad, India, and all 42 victims were citizens of that country.
The portal reports that most of the passengers were asleep when the bus collided with a fuel tanker, which led to its ignition.
Among the deceased are at least 11 women and 10 children. Authorities are currently continuing the investigation into the incident, and it has been established that the only survivor was one passenger.
