World Championship (U-20): The Kyrgyzstan National Team Defeated Hong Kong

The Kyrgyzstan national ice hockey team for players under 20 has successfully started its performance at the third division World Championship (Group B).

The tournament, featuring six teams, kicked off in Bishkek on January 18.

In their first match, the Kyrgyz faced the Hong Kong team on the ice of the "Bishkek Arena".

The first and second periods ended without goals — 0:0 and 1:1. Umar Egemberdiev scored the only goal in the first period for Kyrgyzstan.

In the third period, at the 50th minute, Alikhan Ali-Askarov netted the second goal against the opponents, and then Egemberdiev added two more goals to his tally.

The final score of the match was 4:1 in favor of the Kyrgyzstan team, which earned 3 points.

The next match will be held on January 19 against the South African hockey players, who lost to the Mexicans in their first game.
