On January 31, the solemn opening of the archery championship took place in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek. This was reported by the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The director of this agency, Kazybek Moldazhiyev, opened the competition, emphasizing that archery, being both a national and an Olympic sport, demonstrates active development in the country. He noted that such championships play an important role in enhancing the skill level of young archers, fostering a competitive spirit, and strengthening Kyrgyzstan's international authority in sports.
The event was also attended by the director of the Directorate for Olympic Sports, Melis Tobokelov, the president of the Archery Federation, Elnur Osmonaliyev, as well as coaches and athletes.
The aim of the championship is to popularize and develop archery, revive national sports, and promote Olympic disciplines in the country. There is also an emphasis on attracting youth and adolescents to a healthy lifestyle, identifying champions of Kyrgyzstan, and meeting sports standards to enhance the professional level of athletes.
The competitions are held in accordance with the rules approved by the World Archery Federation (WA).
