In the village of Sary-Kamysh, located in the Ak-Suu district, there is a growing number of people eager to engage in cross-country skiing. This was reported by coach Altynbek Asakeev in an interview with a Turmush correspondent.

According to Asakeev, cross-country skiing is a safer and healthier sport compared to alpine skiing.

He also highlighted the main differences between these two types of skiing, as well as the increasing interest in cross-country skiing:

“Although alpine skiing provides adrenaline, it can be dangerous. Cross-country skiing, on the other hand, is designed for skiing on flat terrain and is suitable for children from the age of 6. In our club, about 15 athletes train regularly, but many more wish to try this sport. We also plan to organize national competitions soon to inspire skiers and create opportunities for experience exchange,” noted A. Asakeev.
