Teenagers from the Jeti-Oguz district became world champions in arm wrestling in Tashkent. This was reported to the Turmush correspondent by the head coach of the arm wrestling federation of the Issyk-Kul region, Ruslan Abdybek uulu.

“I have been training children in the Issyk-Kul region in arm wrestling for several years now. Currently, there are 30 children training in the Jeti-Oguz district. More than ten of them are part of the national team of Kyrgyzstan in arm wrestling.

We are seeing a growing interest in this sport among the youth,” he said.

According to him, from January 30 to February 7, arm wrestling competitions took place in Tashkent (Uzbekistan), in which they participated. In the "seniors" category, three athletes from the village of Kyzyl-Suu competed on the international stage, showcasing their character, experience, and fighting spirit.

Among them:

1st place — Zalkar Nurlanov in the weight category up to 80 kg;

As a result of the intense matches for the left and right hand, which lasted two days:

1st place — among the "seniors" was taken by Zalkar Nurlanov;

also 1st place — in the junior category was taken by Zalkar Nurlanov.

“The fact that one athlete won gold in two categories is a result of hard work, strict discipline, and true sporting character,” noted R. Abdybek uulu.

Additionally:

2nd place — in DMCHA was taken by Zhanibek Abdykadyrov

2nd place — among juniors was taken by Elmirek Mukambetov in the weight category of 60 kg.

“These matches were not just competitions — they were a real struggle for the honor of the homeland. The only challenge was financial issues when going abroad. But the boys are very dedicated: they come to training every day,” the coach noted.
