At the international wrestling tournament MUHAMET MALO–2026, held on February 27 in Albania, Kyrgyz athlete Gulnura Tashtanbekova won a bronze medal. This was reported on the website of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Tashtanbekova competed in the weight category up to 65 kg. In her first match, she lost to Russian wrestler Alina Kasabieva, but did not give up and continued to fight for medals through the consolation matches.
In the match for third place, Gulnura faced Indian athlete Apeksha Patil. The score was tied at 3:3, but the victory was awarded to the Kyrgyzstani due to the last scoring action.
