Schoolgirl from Ak-Suu Nurelina Tursunalieva became a prizewinner of the international chess tournament

At the international chess tournament for teenage girls held in Bukhara, Uzbekistan, Nurelina Tursunalieva took 3rd place. This was reported by her coach, Samat Derkembaev.

According to the coach, the Issyk-Kul region was represented at the tournament by five female chess players.

“The competition took place from March 9 to 16 and gathered the best athletes from 13 countries. Nurelina managed to secure 3rd place among 62 participants and received a cash prize,” added S. Derkembaev.

Nurelina started playing chess at the age of 7 and is currently a six-time champion of Kyrgyzstan. She is in the 8th grade at the M. Mamakeyev Gymnasium in the village of Ak-Suu, located in the Ak-Suu district.
