A young wrestler from the Naryn region, representing the village of Ak-Tal, became a prizewinner at international competitions.

As reported by the young athlete's coach Chyngyz Jamalov, on March 25 in Bishkek at the Palace of Sports named after Kaba Uulu Kozhomkul, an international freestyle wrestling tournament was held in memory of the honored coach of the Kyrgyz SSR and master of sports of the USSR Rajap Janayev. In these competitions, Bayel Rysbekov managed to win a bronze medal.

“This tournament has been held for 29 years. Young wrestlers from different countries participated, including Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan. I brought seven of my trainees to the competition. In the under-17 category, Bayel Rysbekov faced an opponent from Uzbekistan in the match for third place and emerged victorious. It is also worth noting that Bayel has previously won gold medals at several international tournaments,” said coach Jamalov.
