"We maintain friendly relations," said Russian President Vladimir Putin in the context of his ties with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov.

This statement was made during an interview that Putin gave to the Nomad TV channel on November 27 during a meeting of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Council held in Bishkek.

The President of Russia characterized Sadyr Japarov as a "reliable partner and friend."

During the conversation, Putin emphasized that the relations between Kyrgyzstan and Russia are based on eternal values, including respect for culture and languages.

He also noted: "We have great respect for the decisions regarding the Russian language that have been made in Kyrgyzstan, and we are pleased with its official status, enshrined at the legislative level."

Vladimir Putin's visit to Bishkek, which took place from November 25 to 27, was timed to coincide with his participation in the CSTO Council meeting. On November 26, extended-format negotiations took place at "Yntymak Ordo" between the presidents of Kyrgyzstan and Russia, where key issues of bilateral cooperation and prospects for its further development were discussed.
