During his state visit to Kyrgyzstan, which took place the day before, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the intention of "Rosatom" to begin large-scale reclamation of uranium mining sites. This statement was made after a meeting at "Yntymak Ordo" in Bishkek, where issues of economic cooperation and trade were discussed, and several bilateral agreements were signed.
Additionally, Putin noted that Russia is considering the possibility of constructing the first nuclear power plant in Kyrgyzstan, using advanced technologies, including small modular reactors. These technologies meet the highest standards of safety and environmental protection.
