The President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, highlighted the significant contribution of the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (RKDF) to the development of economic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
During recent negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the results of the latest meeting of the intergovernmental commission, which deals with trade, economic, scientific, technical, and humanitarian issues, held in Bishkek, were discussed.
Japarov emphasized the work of the RKDF as one of the main drivers of bilateral economic relations.
According to him, since its establishment, the Fund has invested over 1 billion US dollars in the economy of Kyrgyzstan and has supported more than 3,500 projects across the country. This amount of investment significantly exceeds the Fund's initial charter capital.
“At the moment, the Fund is participating in the financing of the construction of 14 facilities in the field of hydropower and renewable energy sources, amounting to over 175 million US dollars,” added the President of Kyrgyzstan.
It is worth noting that the Russian president arrived in Kyrgyzstan on a state visit, during which issues of economic cooperation, trade, and several bilateral agreements were discussed.
