In Bishkek, the transfer of 651 thousand Russian language textbooks for Kyrgyz schools took place. This event occurred during a meeting of the Russian-Kyrgyz intergovernmental commission, which addresses issues of trade, economic, scientific, technical, and humanitarian cooperation. This information was shared by the Russian embassy in Kyrgyzstan.

Deputy Chairman of the Russian Federation Alexey Overchuk, commenting on the transfer, noted that Russia is happy to provide these educational materials to Kyrgyzstan as a sign of friendly assistance. "Today, it is a great joy for us to hand over the certificate for these materials to our Kyrgyz friends," he said.

The educational materials have been updated to reflect current geographical objects, currency, character names, and illustrations. They also include materials related to the history, culture, national art, and literature of Kyrgyzstan. The authors have taken into account the upcoming transition to a 12-year education model, which will contribute to the longevity of these textbooks.

Overchuk added that more than 90% of the textbooks have already been delivered to the country and will soon be distributed to schools. The program for the development, adaptation, and delivery of Russian language and literature textbooks will continue in 2026, and Russian teachers will also be sent to Kyrgyz educational institutions.
