On November 14, the Embassy of India in Bishkek will celebrate the annual event related to the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) program. More than 50 graduates are expected to attend the celebration and share their experiences of studying at Indian educational institutions.

Established in 1964, the ITEC program is an important initiative of the Ministry of External Affairs of India aimed at enhancing the skills of professionals. It is one of the longest-running international cooperation programs in the field of vocational training, under which over 200,000 specialists from more than 160 countries have received training in various fields, including the civil and defense sectors.

Since 2014, India has provided around 100,000 scholarship places, allowing students not only to enhance their professional skills but also to immerse themselves in Indian culture and traditions.

Graduates of the ITEC program return to their home countries with new knowledge and technologies, as well as the spirit of Indian learning. They undergo a variety of courses, such as certification in English language and IT, yoga training, traditional textile studies, leadership development programs, business studies, auditing courses, as well as courses in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.

Over the past ten years, more than 1,500 citizens of Kyrgyzstan have had the opportunity to study under this program. Each year, 100 places are allocated for the Kyrgyz Republic.

The Embassy of India actively informs about upcoming courses through its social media and encourages interested individuals to apply on the ITEC portal.
