During recent negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov emphasized that Russia is a key trading partner of the republic, accounting for 22% of the total trade turnover.
It is worth noting that Putin's visit to Kyrgyzstan was a state visit, and issues of economic cooperation and trade were discussed at the meeting, along with the signing of important bilateral agreements.
“This means that almost a quarter of Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade is related to Russia,” Japarov stated.
He also noted that both sides are optimistic about the possibility of reaching a mutual trade volume of 5 billion dollars in the coming years.
