By the end of 2024, the volume of mutual trade between the PRC and the EAEU countries will reach a record $291 billion, with China's share accounting for 35% of the total trade turnover of the Union with other countries.
EEC experts note that a significant contribution to this achievement was made by the Agreement on Trade and Economic Cooperation concluded between the EAEU and the PRC.
During the 5th meeting of the Joint Commission dedicated to the implementation of this agreement, the parties discussed integration processes in the EAEU and the "One Belt, One Road" initiative, as noted by EEC Minister Serpikov.
In addition, an agreement was reached to hold a seminar aimed at registering agricultural producers in the Chinese state system, as well as discussing phytosanitary measures.
The EEC Minister emphasized that this will create additional opportunities for agricultural producers from EAEU countries in the Chinese market.
