According to the draft, a six-month ban is planned on the export of timber and wood products classified under codes 4401, 4403, and 4407 of the EAEU Customs Tariff. The only exception will be humanitarian aid provided by the government. The ban will come into effect three days after the official publication of the resolution, as stated in the document prepared by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce.
If the draft is approved, the Ministry of Economy will notify the Secretariat of the World Trade Organization and the Eurasian Economic Commission about the introduction of the temporary ban, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will inform the Executive Committee of the CIS.
