In the Kyrgyz Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry (MVSHP), a consultative meeting was held, attended by representatives of the ministry and the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (RKDF). The event took place in the small hall of the agency, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture.
At the meeting, the heads of key departments of the ministry, as well as board members and experts from the Fund, gathered. Issues of cooperation in agriculture, processing, cluster development, and project implementation within the framework of public-private partnerships were discussed.
The Fund presented an analysis of its investment and credit activities aimed at supporting agricultural initiatives. In particular, the following were highlighted:
the volumes of financing and the geography of its distribution;priority areas of work;main projects currently being implemented;financial instruments and technical support;prospective plans for the future;problems arising during project implementation.
During the discussions, the parties considered possible directions for further cooperation, including expanding the project portfolio, developing clusters, and modernizing the processing industry. The structure of a future Memorandum of Cooperation between MVSHP and RKDF was also preliminarily discussed.
As a result of the meeting, responsible persons were appointed to coordinate work between MVSHP and RKDF, and the procedure for developing the draft Memorandum of Cooperation was agreed upon.
