An online meeting was held, organized by the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, where the main topics of discussion were food security and measures to stabilize prices for essential products such as beef and lamb. Representatives from the Antimonopoly Regulation Service of the Ministry of Economy, as well as city mayors and local government administrations, along with market leaders, participated in the event, according to information from the Ministry of Agriculture's press service.
As a result of the meeting, an important decision was made to extend the temporary state regulation of prices for beef and lamb (excluding meat cuts) until December 31, 2025.
Additionally, local authorities were instructed to organize direct meat supplies from farmers to the population, eliminating intermediaries from the supply chain.
