The discussion on the implementation of the project "Climate-Resilient Landscapes in Central Asia" took place between the Veterinary Service, Livestock Development, Pastures and Feed, and the Public Fund of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).
The Ministry of Agriculture reported that among the project implementers are the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic and ARIS.
During the meeting, the parties outlined a number of measures aimed at minimizing the impact of climate change on pastures and livestock.
The main goal of the project is to enhance the resilience of the most vulnerable groups of the population in Central Asia to climate change, as well as to preserve and restore transboundary landscapes that are crucial for their existence.
Additionally, the project includes areas such as sustainable pasture use, strengthening the feed base, improving livestock health, and implementing methods to reduce climate risks.
As a result of the discussion, the parties reached an agreement to further strengthen cooperation and develop a joint action plan for the effective implementation of the project, as noted by the Ministry.
