At the 86th kilometer of the Bishkek–Naryn–Torugart road, an event was held to plant 1,000 saplings of the Karabak tree, organized by the staff of the Water Resources Service. According to the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, this event became part of the national program "Green Legacy," which was initiated by President Sadyr Japarov. The main goal of the program is to ensure ecological safety and improve the state of the environment.
The "Green Legacy" program aims to combat the consequences of climate change, improve air quality, and create a healthy ecosystem for future generations.
"Tree and sapling planting is crucial for achieving the sustainable development goals of Kyrgyzstan. It contributes to reducing poverty levels, developing agriculture, and protecting ecosystems. Greening projects not only benefit nature but also have a positive impact on economic growth and social stability," the official statement emphasizes.
