In the first six months of this year, the volume of direct investments from the Russian Federation in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 110 million US dollars. This was reported by the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, after a meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
It is worth noting that recently Putin visited Kyrgyzstan on an official visit. During their negotiations, issues of economic cooperation and trade were discussed, and several bilateral agreements were signed.
Japarov emphasized that Kyrgyzstan is always pleased to see the interest of Russian businessmen in its economy and is ready to provide the necessary conditions for successful operations.
“According to the latest data, as of November 2025, there are more than 1800 companies with Russian participation operating in Kyrgyzstan, which accounts for a third of the total number of foreign companies,” he added.
In addition, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic supported the initiative of Russian partners to create an Association of Russian Investors in Kyrgyzstan, which should promote the development of interaction.
“This association will become an effective platform for communication between Russian investors and the state bodies of Kyrgyzstan,” noted Japarov.
