The Ministry of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services commented on the incident involving the roof collapse of a new school built by the "As-Salam" foundation in the village of Min-Bulak in the Tyup district of the Issyk-Kul region.

On the night of January 18, due to heavy snowfall, a partial collapse of the roof of the educational institution occurred.

The construction of the school, which has 150 student places and is named after Islam Kasmaliev, began in 2023. The project was implemented by the charitable foundation "As-Salam," and the contractor was OsOO "Energy-Nur Stroy."

The ministry noted that the school has not yet been put into operation, as it was still in the final stages of construction, and during the roof installation, the facility had not been accepted by the Issyk-Kul Regional Department of the State Architectural and Construction Control.

The department had previously sent multiple warnings to OsOO "Energy-Nur Stroy" regarding the construction of the school.

As a result of the incident, a written warning was issued to the contracting organization, and a demand was made for the restoration of the facility. Currently, the roof of the school has been fully restored; however, the company has been fined 200,000 soms.

Additionally, the issue of suspending the contractor's license will be discussed at a commission meeting.

The ministry added that after the necessary inspections by the authorized bodies and obtaining positive conclusions, the facility will be officially put into operation by the Issyk-Kul Regional Department of Architectural and Construction Control.
