The Ministry of Construction of the Kyrgyz Republic reported on the actions taken regarding the contractor who was involved in the construction of the school named after Islam Kasmaliev in the village of Min-Bulak in the Tyup district. The incident occurred on the night of January 18, 2026, when heavy snowfall caused partial collapse of the roof of the educational institution.
The construction of the new school for 150 students began in 2023, and this building was constructed with the support of the charitable foundation "As-Salam." The contractor was LLC "Energy-Nur Stroy."
Currently, the school has not yet been put into operation, as it is still in the final stages, and during the roof installation process, the facility was not accepted by the Issyk-Kul Regional Department of the State Architectural and Construction Control.
The Department had previously issued several warnings to LLC "Energy-Nur Stroy" regarding the construction of the school.
As a result of the incident, the Department issued a written warning to the contracting organization and demanded the restoration of the facility.
As of today, the roof of the school has been fully restored. A fine of 200,000 soms has been imposed on the company, and the issue of suspending the contractor's license will be discussed at the commission meeting.
After the completion of the inspection by the authorized bodies and obtaining a positive conclusion, the Issyk-Kul Regional Department of Architectural and Construction Control will officially put the facility into operation.
