Although forecasters predict warming, negative temperatures are still observed in some regions. This is due to the influx of cold continental air, the formation of a temperature inversion, and nighttime radiation cooling. The information was provided by specialists from Kyrgyzhydromet in an interview with AKIpress.

“The temperature inversion prevents the lower layer of air from warming up, especially early in the morning. Significant precipitation is not expected in the coming days, as weather conditions remain stable,” noted the meteorological center.

According to data from Kyrgyzhydromet, the territory of Kyrgyzstan is currently under the influence of the periphery of an anticyclone located over Kazakhstan. This atmospheric formation is characterized by stable and sluggish air masses.

In addition, forecasters indicated that the frequent occurrence of fog is due to the inversion situation, high atmospheric pressure, and weak winds. “Under such conditions, fog will be observed almost daily and will remain until the anticyclone weakens or shifts,” they report.

Recall that on January 7, meteorologists already reported that no precipitation is expected in Kyrgyzstan for seven days, and warming is forecasted in the coming days.
