PM2.5 consists of solid particles smaller than 2.5 microns, their diameter is 30 times smaller than that of a human hair. They include a mixture of dust, ash, soot, as well as sulfates and nitrates present in the air. These substances contribute to the deterioration of air quality, which is often observed in large cities.
As of February 1, Bishkek ranks 38th in the world air quality ranking at 11:00.
