In the coming days, noticeable changes in weather conditions will occur in Kyrgyzstan: a warm and rainy start to the week will be replaced by a drop in temperature, accompanied by snow and nighttime frosts.
According to data from the weather service Ventusky, the main factor for the sharp drop in temperature in the country will be the transition from a cyclone to an anticyclone. As of today, March 9, warm air of southern origin prevails over Kyrgyzstan, which is reflected in Bishkek with a temperature of +13°C. However, a cold atmospheric front (marked on the maps with a blue line and triangles) is rapidly approaching the country from the west, which will lower the temperature to 0°C by March 10. By March 11-12, the region will be completely engulfed by arctic air, leading to a drop in temperature to −6°C and even lower. At the same time, a powerful anticyclone will establish itself from the north, blocking the inflow of warm air masses and keeping cold temperatures in the country.
