In Kyrgyzstan, a sharp deterioration in weather conditions is expected on January 18 and 19: snowfalls are anticipated, with intense precipitation in some areas. The accumulation of wet snow on trees and power lines will also become one of the issues. This information is provided by Kyrgyzhydromet.

Fog and the presence of snow cover on the road surface are also expected, which will lead to the formation of ice. Snowdrifts may occur in mountainous areas. The western wind may strengthen to 15-20 m/s.

From January 17 to 19, the air temperature will drop significantly: in the Chui and Talas valleys, it may fall to -9…-14 °C at night, and during the day it will be -1…-6 °C. In the valleys of the Osh, Jalal-Abad, and Batken regions, temperatures are expected to be -2…-7 °C at night and -2…+3 °C during the day. In the foothills, the temperature at night will reach -11…-16 °C, and during the day -2…-7 °C. In the Issyk-Kul basin, it will be -7…-12 °C at night and -4…+1 °C during the day. In the agricultural zones of the Naryn region and mountainous areas, night temperatures may drop to -23…-28 °C, while daytime temperatures will be -9…-14 °C. In high-altitude areas, temperatures are expected to be -26…-31 °C at night and -9…-14 °C during the day, while in the Suusamyr valley, nighttime temperatures may reach -30…-35 °C, and during the day -11…-16 °C.

Such adverse weather conditions may negatively affect the operation of communication, energy, and utility services. Intense precipitation will lead to reduced visibility on the roads, making it difficult for vehicles to move.

Due to the expected precipitation from January 16 to 18, avalanches may occur in the mountainous regions of Kyrgyzstan, as well as snowdrifts and icy conditions on the following roads:

- Bishkek—Osh, km 121-138;

- Ala-Buka—Kanysh-Kiya, km 68-74, 86-101;

- Krasnaya Gorka—Ak-Tash, km 0-3;

- Myrza-Ake—Kara-Kulja—Alaykuu, km 65-110;

- Karakol—Enilchek, km 45-90;

- Balikchy—Kazaraman—Jalal-Abad, km 326-349.

When traveling through avalanche-prone sections of the roads, it is necessary to maintain a distance of 500 meters between vehicles.
