This year, all landfills in Bishkek are planned to be closed. Bekzhan Sultangaziev, Deputy Director of the Environmental and Technical Supervision Service under the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision, announced this at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh committee.
He specified that only one central landfill will operate, where a special area for the storage of construction waste will be organized.
“Waste such as concrete, which cannot be incinerated, will be placed there. This year, the city hall plans to complete work on this project,” Sultangaziev added.
